Loaves and Fishes Community Meal
Our church supports Loaves and Fishes Community Meal — an important mission project that builds community through a no-charge monthly community meal available each month on the fourth Sunday. Our motto is: “Always the fourth Sunday, always at Grace Lutheran, always from 4-6”. Join us on the fourth Sunday in March. And thanks to all the individuals from St. Andrew’s who serve on the Board of Directors of Loaves and Fishes.

Loaves and Fishes offers a monthly, no-charge community meal that affords all who share the experience with an opportunity to make new friends and to work together on a common cause built around food. Our meals are carefully planned by a host of volunteer cooks supported by many others who offer hospitality, work as servers, or who do the dishes and clean up.
Loaves and Fishes began with the vision of the people of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church who had a dream of a way to build community. They reached out to others, people from other area churches, people from the community at large. We have a wonderful group of business, church, service organization and individual sponsors.

Thank you to our nominees in the Green County Veterans’ Office-Our Fall thank you basket program was successful! We at St. Andrew’s are honored to be able to be part of THANKING them for their public service! Thanks to all who nominated, put together baskets, donated, and delivered baskets!
St. Andrew’s Mission Update

Missions and outreach is an important dimension of community life at St. Andrew’s.
In the past, we have created several mission projects including several Thank-You Basket projects. Through these baskets, we have thanked veterans for their service to our nation, foster parents for their service to children in our community, and jailers of Green County for their difficult job in meeting and dealing with individuals experiencing real difficulty in their lives. Volunteers who reach out to victims of sexual abuse in the SARP program were the most-recent recipients of our Thank-You basket mission.
Our Missions Committee was the place where the Loaves and Fishes Community Meal was born. We wrote proposals and received grant money to explore the concept of a community meal and then used subsequent grants from The Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee to establish this program in greater Green County.
